The Story Behind Valley All Star Cheer
Valley All Star Cheer was built on a foundation of hard work, resilience, and a deep passion for the sport of cheerleading. What started as a dream quickly evolved into a mission—to create a program where athletes could grow in skill, confidence, and character, and one day earn a place on their school cheer teams.
After over a decade of coaching experience, founder Tami Faraci made a cross-country move that left her without a team to lead. Instead of stepping away from the sport, she began envisioning something new—her own program, shaped by years of experience and love for the athletes she coached. But in 2020, life took an unexpected turn when Tami was diagnosed with cancer. The dream was put on hold as all energy shifted to a new challenge: the fight for her life. With the same determination she brought to coaching, she battled through treatment—and won. Valley All Star Cheer is the comeback story. It’s proof that passion, perseverance, and purpose can overcome any obstacle. Today, we are proud to train and inspire the next generation of athletes with heart, hustle, and high standards.
In 2021, Valley Cheer officially planted its roots in Lewiston, Idaho. We began humbly, offering basic cheer classes—teaching jumps, dance, and cheers—in a rented space inside a former high school gym. But the program quickly outgrew its modest beginnings. We moved into a small studio space that gave us the freedom to operate without sharing time with other sports programs and allowed us to expand our class offerings. Just one year later, that space was too small for our growing team and vision. We transitioned into our current 7,300-square-foot facility—a space big enough to match the dreams we were chasing. It was at this pivotal moment that we shifted our focus. Rather than training athletes to leave and cheer elsewhere, we knew it was time to create something they could truly call home. We launched our own competitive teams, giving our athletes a chance to stay, grow, and thrive within the program they had come to love.

In 2023, we had our first team of 28 girls take the mat as a performance rec team at local competitions—and they crushed it. That season, they earned Grand Champion titles at all five competitions they attended. But we still wanted more. We wanted to experience the true All Star cheer world: the hype, the fun, the grind, and the reward.

In 2024, we grew to four teams and entered our first All Star competitions. We traveled to Nationals in Las Vegas, competed in Seattle and Spokane, and proudly brought home banners along the way. We were officially bit by the All Star bug—and we knew this was our path forward.

Today, Valley Cheer has 97 athletes across five teams ranging from Mini to Junior. Our athletes train 2–3 days a week in team practices, attend tumbling classes and open gyms, work with professional choreographers, and go to specialty camps. They pour their hearts into mastering routines and preparing for the mat. This year, we’re more motivated than ever and gearing up for our best season yet.
In addition to our competition teams, Valley offers 14 cheer and tumbling classes every week—serving athletes from beginners to advanced levels (up to level 4/5 tumbling). As demand for quality instruction grew, we opened a second location: a dedicated tumbling center. This new space allows us to focus on beginner through level 2 athletes, providing smaller class sizes and more one-on-one attention. Today, over 150 athletes take weekly tumbling classes with us. We emphasize drills and body awareness to help athletes understand proper technique and form. This approach not only builds confidence and skill but also ensures a safer tumbling experience for every athlete.

Valley All Star Cheer is more than a gym—it’s a family, a training ground, and a place where dreams are chased and goals are achieved.

Valley Cheer is proud to be named the Winner of the Best of the Inland NW in the category of Cheer/Dance/Gymnastics School/Studio in 2023 and 2024.
